Mining Research and Development Company signed a memorandum of understanding with Al-Hussein Technical University

The Mining Research and Development Company signed a memorandum of understanding with Al-Hussein Technical University, one of the initiatives of the Crown Prince Foundation, to launch the Arab Mining Industries Development Institute.

 

The memorandum was signed on behalf of Mining Research and Development Company by Chairman of Board of Directors, His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Reda Sultan, and on behalf of the University, its president, Prof. Dr. Ismail Al-Hinti, in the presence of members of the company's Board of Directors and the Dean of the College of Engineering Technology at the University. The memorandum, which was signed at the company's management headquarters in Amman, provides for the development and provision of multi-level technical programs to qualify and train cadres in line with the needs of the labor market in the fields related to the mining industries in the Arab countries, as well as the development of a center of excellence specialized in providing consultancy and technical studies and implementing applied scientific research. Qualification of specialized and accredited testing laboratories.

 

The memorandum includes that Al-Hussein Technical University will manage and organize practical, educational, and training affairs at the institute, develop programs and curricula and training, and technical and administrative supervision of the institute's operations and facilities, which will be provided by the company, including classrooms, laboratories, and offices.

 

According to the memorandum, the company will provide practical field training opportunities for the trainees to ensure that they obtain scientific knowledge and apply it to qualify them for the labor market.

 

His Excellency Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mining Research and Development Company, Mr. Mohammed Reda Sultan, expressed his pride in the role played by Al Hussein Technical University in the field of consolidating and applying the concept of technical and applied education in various scientific and engineering disciplines, which is one of the distinguished universities in the Arab region in the field of technical and applied education within the best international specifications and standards.

 

 He stressed that the signing of the memorandum came because of the convergence of their common goals aimed at developing technical and applied education in various disciplines, including those related to geosciences, mining engineering and related disciplines.

 

For his part, Dr. Al-Hinti valued the role of the company and its cooperation with the university to develop the institute and open training opportunities that will contribute to creating new job opportunities for Jordanian and Arab youth.

 

He stressed that Al-Hussein Technical University was established to serve Jordanian youth, provide them with the latest technology and qualify them to enter the regional and global labor markets efficiently. The university considers the private sector a key partner for developing the technical education and practical training system in Jordan.
