Arab Potash Company was established in 1956 in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as a joint Arab Company project, operating under a privilege by the Jordanian government, which granted the Company an exclusive right to mining, manufacturing and marketing minerals from the Dead Sea until 2058.

 

Ranking as the eighth largest global producer of potash, in terms of its production volume, and the only producer of potash in the Arab world, Armico also invests in many manufacturing and supplementary industries related to Dead Sea salts and minerals, including potassium and bromine nitrate and other derivatives.

 The Company’s products and production capacity: 

  • Potassium chloride 2.4 million tons /year
  • Potassium Nitrate 150,000 tons /year
  • Dicalcium phosphate 60,000 tons /year
  • Bromine and its derivatives at more than 200,000 tons /year
